Nathalie Norais, Head of the Proteomics and Antigen Structure Laboratory whichhas 3 senior scientists, 3 scientists and 3 Ph.D students. It is dedicated to antigen identification through proteomics and to antigen design through structural mass spectrometry, electronic microscopy, crystallography and modeling. Nathalie Norais is also the VADEMA coordinator. Nathalie is author of about 60 articles published in peer-reviewed journals and 16 patents (issued or filed). To date, she supervised 10 Ph.D students and 3 Postdocs.

Prof. Kasper Rand is a recognized authority in the fields of HDX-MS and protein analysis by MS and a pioneer in applying and developing the HDX-MS method to tackle ever more challenging protein systems at a greater level of detail. Since 2011, Rand has headed the Protein Analysis Group that holds state-of-the-art infrastructure for HDX-MS and qualitative and quantitative protein analysis by LC-MS. The group currently hosts three master students, six PhD students, three postdocs, one assistant professor and a laboratory technician. All members of the group work under the supervision of Rand and he has thus gained significant experience with supervising researchers at all levels. As exemplified by his publications, he has ongoing inter-disciplinary collaborations with several expert academic research groups. Rand also has considerable experience with collaborative work at the interface between industrial and academic research and has several ongoing industrial collaborations and has himself obtained his PhD through the national industrial PhD programme in Denmark. Rand is the recipient of funding from the Danish Research Councils (including the prestigious Steno Fellowship and the Sapere Aude Research Leader grant), EU and several foundations as well as several major pharmaceutical companies. Rand has authored 54 peer-reviewed publications (Orchid: 0000-0002-6337-5489) including those in Molecular Cell, Nature Molecular and Structural Biology, Accounts in Chemical Research and Journal American Chemical Society, 3 book chapters and holds 4 patents and has a H-index of 21 (Web of Science).

ALTA is a service-provider company specialized in developing and managing scientific research projects financed by the European Commission and Italian Public Authorities. Managing advanced training programs isa strength of ALTA. Founded in 1998 by Aldo Tagliabue, ALTA has been involved in several projects since the 5th Framework Project. ALTA has been chosen by 39 leading Italian scientists and is currently involved in 23 projects funded by the EC.
ALTA provides support and consultancy services for scientists and researchers at universities, in businesses and research institutes from idea-generation to project implementation. Also finding the appropriate strategy, building the Project Consortia and putting the science into the most effective administrative and management framework.

Gabriella Dessole obtained her Masters Degree in Chemistry in 2001. She worked for several years in the pharmaceutical field as Research Chemist and in the patent field as Patent Documentalist. In 2016 Gabriella joined ALTA S.r.l.u., and she is currently Grants Manager.
